DESCRIPTION:Join us for Hike for Hospice 2025!\nHike for Hospice is a family-friendly event that raises funds for Lionel Kelland Hospice. The Hospice is a place where those at the end-of-life receive the care\, respect and dignity they deserve\, and their families will have the critical support and resources they need. Now open\, the Hospice serves people from communities throughout Central NL. \nWe invite you to hike\, bike\, walk\, wheel\, kayak\, run\, do yoga or simply be active during the week of June 8 to 14. Choose your own distance or duration. Participate in your hometown\, worksite or wherever you happen to be. \nWe also encourage teams to come together with other supporters on Saturday\, June 14 at 10:30 am for a community hike beginning at Shanawdithit Centennial Field in Grand Falls-Windsor with a final community walk together to Lionel Kelland Hospice. \nYou can create your own team of family\, friends or co-workers or participate solo. \nThanks to the generous support of our presenting sponsor\, Calibre Valentine Gold Mine\, 100% of funds raised through Hike for Hospice supports our 10-bed community based residential hospice. \n____________________________________________________________________________ \nGet Involved\nRegister as an individual\, team up with your family\, or challenge your co-workers and friends to get involved. Registration fee of $25 will kick off your fundraising and qualify you to receive your 2025 Hike for Hospice T-Shirt! By registering online\, you build your own fundraising page that you can share with your friends and family. Families with children are encouraged to participate (and fundraise)\, but we don’t expect families to make donations for children under the age of 12. *If you have a child that would like to receive a t-shirt you can register them as a part of your team and pay the $25 fee to receive the shirt. \nFundraise\nReach out to your friends and family for pledges and help us raise funds to ensure residents at Lionel Kelland Hospice receive the care\, dignity and respect they deserve. Donations and pledges\, no matter how large or small\, help create a peaceful home-like environment for people who are in the final stage of their lives. \nParticipants may track their successes and their team’s progress online. \n____________________________________________________________________________ \nCommunity Hike – In Person – June 14\nGather with other supporters of Lionel Kelland Hospice. Check in at 10:30 am and go ahead and enjoy the beautiful track. We’ll celebrate our success together with a community lap to the Lionel Kelland Hospice from Shanawdithit Centennial Field and a BBQ lunch hosted by Calibre Valentine Gold Mine after you have finished your Hike and have worked up an appetite.
