The Lionel Kelland Hospice in Grand Falls-Windsor is another step closer to opening its doors, thanks to a three-year commitment from the VOCM Cares Foundation.The residential hospice will provide a a space for those at the end of life to live in peace, comfort, and with the best quality of life possible.
The VOCM Cares Foundation has approved $75,000 in funding, which will will be a three-year commitment from the foundation. Shelley Woolfrey, Chair of the Every Moment Matters Campaign for the hospice, says since the campaign was launched last summer they’ve had many milestones, and this one really endorses their purpose.
She says VOCM Cares has a history of supporting causes that break ground in the province, and the funding will bring them much closer to opening their doors in 2023.
