Lionel Kelland Hospice provides care, respect, and dignity for those who are at the end of life.
Our 10-bed hospice provides the highest quality palliative care. Medical care is provided by a team 24/7. In addition, social, cultural, and spiritual support for residents, families, and loved ones is provided. Everything is provided for comfort, quality of life, and dignity from the moment residents arrive at Lionel Kelland Hospice.
Frontline Programs
Our programs emphasize life and living by providing opportunities for residents and their families to experience all the joys and pleasures available to them in the time that they have remaining.
Palliative residents will receive mental health care as a crucial component of end-of-life care. We understand that strong mental health is important for every single person – from birth to death. Those with a life-limiting illness will experience feelings of fear, vulnerability, and depression, just as their loved ones do. That is why we offer comprehensive programs that incorporate education, anticipatory grief, bereavement support, and spiritual care. All programs are provided by professionals from multiple disciplines in comfortable surroundings and at no extra cost to families. Counselling will be offered in a safe, inclusive environment and people will receive the help needed to overcome crisis situations.
