The Lionel Kelland Hospice Every Moment Matters campaign will now be able to let more people know about the province’s first community-based residential hospice. EC Boone Ltd., a company with a long history in the signage business, has donated advertising space on digital billboards in cities and towns across the island.
Campaign Chair, Shelley Woolfrey, said this donation greatly boosts the Hospice campaign. “As a charity, our financial resources will be used to build a facility for people to live their last days in comfort and peace.” Woolfrey added. “EC Boone Ltd’s contribution will help so much to increase awareness throughout the province about central Newfoundland’s Lionel Kelland Hospice.”
With its roots and headquarters in St. John’s, E.C. Boone Ltd. has interests throughout the country but is maintained as a family-owned and operated business. Owner, David Boone believes that the Hospice cause is important and said, “We are happy to support the volunteer group bringing the first hospice to Newfoundland and Labrador. All of us at EC Boone are humbled to join other donors who believe that every person should have comfort and dignity at the end of life.”
Located in Grand Falls-Windsor, Lionel Kelland Hospice will be a place where individuals can spend their final days with family and friends, in a safe, comfortable, quiet and welcoming environment that feels as close to home as possible. Professional care will be provided to individuals 24/7 and at no cost to the family or individual. Construction is scheduled to begin early 2022.
