Boyd Cohen passed peacefully at the Lionel Kelland Hospice on June 22, 2025 at the age of 94. He lived a long and diverse life that saw incredible change from decade to decade over nine decades. Through his life there was one constant: his devotion to the people of Grand Falls-Windsor and Newfoundland. In keeping with his sense of community the Cohen Family wishes to encourage you to support the Lionel Kelland Hospice.
Boyd spent his final time at the Hospice where he was given incredible care and shown great compassion. Boyd’s four children, Dr. Michael, Nancy, Margaret and David Cohen and their families, hope that your donations will help continue the hospices’ mission of providing “a home away from home when it matters most”.

A celebration of Boyd’s extraordinary life will be held at the Exploits Nordic Ski Club located (35 Scott Ave, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL) on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 between 2:00pm – 4:00pm.
